Survival: keep the run alive
Survival turns one voice imitation into a measured endurance run. You start with three lives, face rising targets and decide when to retry, skip or protect a good streak.
What a life means
A Survival run begins with three lives and can continue for up to 50 rounds. Each reference has a target that rises as the run progresses. A score below the target or a skipped sound costs a life, while a successful round moves you forward. The target is a game rule, not a claim that the scoring model can measure singing ability. Your natural pitch and voice identity are not graded.
Spend the listen wisely
The reference can be heard before the count-in. Use that time to identify whether the sound is tonal, rhythmic or noisy. For a tonal clip, trace the direction in your own range. For a rhythm prompt, count the silence between events. For a noisy prompt, copy the envelope and stop cleanly. If the microphone check is uncertain, solve that before starting; an online retry during a long run is more frustrating than a two-minute setup check.
Retry versus skip
A retry keeps your progress when the recording is too quiet, too short or clipped. Use it when the problem is the take rather than the reference. Skip only when the asset cannot load or the device is interrupted and you accept the life cost. The result screen explains quality reasons so you can make a deliberate choice instead of guessing what the number means.
Build a sustainable route
Early rounds are a place to learn, not to spend energy performing at maximum volume. Keep the mic distance steady and choose a comfortable register. As the target rises, use the replay controls to diagnose timing before adding drama. Headphones reduce reference bleed. If a phone call or app switch interrupts audio, return to the visible game tab and resume with a button before recording again.
What a good result looks like
Survival keeps its best result in the browser and shows the round total when the run ends. A long run is useful evidence that your setup and timing are stable, but it is still a casual browser score. Share a nickname only if you want to publish the numeric result. The game never needs your recording for the leaderboard, and there is no paid prize attached to a Survival score.
Protect the early lives
The first rounds teach the catalog and the later rounds test consistency. Keep a steady microphone distance, choose a comfortable register and use the replay controls before changing your whole approach. A life is more valuable when a device problem is the cause, so retry a quiet or clipped take and reserve Skip for a reference that truly cannot load or a disruption you cannot fix.
Know when a run is complete
Survival can end when the lives are gone, when a target is missed repeatedly or when you choose to leave. The local result is still useful even if it is shorter than 50 rounds. Do not frame a personal best as a verified ranking. The public board, if you opt in, receives numeric scores and a nickname, not a recording or a claim about your identity.
A sustainable long session
Take a quiet breath between rounds, keep water nearby and stop if your voice feels strained. A browser game should not encourage shouting to beat a target. If the device becomes unreliable, leave the run and use the microphone help or sound-memory page. Returning with a stable setup teaches more than forcing a score through a noisy input.
