Mimic Party is an independent browser game project. Listen to a short reference, copy its shape with your voice, and compare the result on your device or with a small group of friends.
What the project makes
The site combines a local voice imitation loop, no-microphone listening games, same-device pass-the-mic play and online rooms for two to five players. The reference catalog is organized into playful themes so a group can choose a short set instead of committing to a long session. The goal is a clear, welcoming game that works in a normal browser with no download or account.
Who operates it
Mimic Party is operated as an independent product project under the Mimic Party name. There is no affiliation with FoliesAPP, Valve or the Steam game that shares the name. The operator maintains the game code, public audio pack, privacy policy, terms and support address. How the game is different
The microphone is a game controller, not a social profile. Normal scoring stays in the active browser, public rooms share numbers rather than live voice chat and private replays require a separate choice with a short expiry. The site also offers a complete listening quiz for people who do not want to grant microphone access.
What we publish
The sound library explains the nine clips in each curated theme. Audio credits separates original studio assets from any open-audio pilot and local research material. The development notes describe the design decisions behind local scoring, room privacy, rights checks and recovery on mobile devices.
How to start
