Your microphone is the controller.

This game needs a short voice recording, not a camera. The browser handles playback, recording and comparison on your device.

Start a microphone game

Before you start

Open the site directly in a current browser. Tap a play mode and approve microphone access when asked. A short level check runs before the first scored take. Speak at a comfortable volume; shouting can distort the signal. The level meter is a local check, not an upload.

Permission is different from a working input

A browser may have permission while the operating system blocks the microphone, another app is holding the device, or a Bluetooth input is disconnected. If the level stays flat, confirm the selected input and close other recording apps before retrying.

What leaves your device?

The game does not upload your voice recording or extracted voice features. It stores bounded gameplay events and numeric results to understand the game flow. Creating a friend challenge shares a sound identifier and score. A public leaderboard entry additionally shares the nickname you choose.

Not ready to use your mic?

Try the sound guessing game first. It only plays sounds and accepts answer buttons. You can switch to voice imitation afterwards; microphone access is never needed for the listening quiz.

Give the meter a fair chance

Use a current browser tab and a normal speaking volume. A permission prompt can succeed while the operating system has selected a disconnected Bluetooth input or another app is using the microphone. If the meter is flat, check the browser site controls, the device privacy setting and the selected input, then test once with the built-in microphone. The game does not need a camera.

What the site stores

The raw take and extracted comparison work in the active tab for a normal run. The site can record bounded gameplay events and numeric results to understand the flow, but it does not add microphone recordings or derived voice features to those events. A public leaderboard submission shares the nickname and result you choose. Optional measurement choices are explained in Privacy.

Choose a mode for your energy

Use Just Play when you want three quick references, Survival when you want a longer target chase and Daily Streak when you want four sounds shared by the UTC date. The sound guessing game is the no-microphone route. These pages describe the rules so you can choose a mode before granting permission rather than discovering the difference after a failed check.

A small setup checklist

Close recording apps, put the device on a stable surface, choose headphones if the speaker leaks and keep the game visible during the count-in. If a phone call or app switch suspends audio, return to the tab and press a visible button to resume. If the session cannot recover, reopen the tab and run the check again; an unsuccessful check does not create a scored result.

The browser is the processing boundary

The game can compare a short take without sending the raw waveform to a server. That is why a normal solo result can be replayed locally and why a public room shares scores rather than voice. A private-room replay is the one separate path that uploads a bounded WAV, and it requires a new explicit choice after scoring. Read Privacy before using that option with a group.

Try the listening path first

Sound guessing uses four original clips and answer buttons. It is useful when a player is in a public place, sharing a family tablet or waiting for a permission fix. Learning the catalog first also makes voice play less intimidating: you can listen for the attack and release before you have to make your own sound.

Leave a clean trail for support

If a check fails repeatedly, note the device family, browser, visible error and whether the built-in microphone works. Avoid copying a full URL with private room codes or attaching an audio file. The Contact page gives the operator a public route, and the help pages turn the common permission branches into a short checklist.

Play without pressure

A microphone game should offer a graceful exit. Use the practice round, choose a listening quiz or return later after a permission fix. The site does not treat an unfinished check as a performance, and it does not need your voice to explain the error. This is especially useful on shared family devices where one person may not be the device owner.

Choose the least-friction route

If your device supports recording, start with one practice sound and stop if the meter is unstable. If it does not, use sound guessing, read the mode guide or join friends after the device is repaired. The site has no requirement to grant microphone access just to read a guide, view the sound library or understand how rooms work.
